Province Fogging Information
The Province of Manitoba has issued a Ministerial Order authorizing adult mosquito control to help reduce the risk of West Nile virus transmission. https://news.gov.mb.ca/news/index.html?item=74619...
Applications will take place during the evening and overnight, weather permitting. If weather conditions are unsuitable, treatment will be rescheduled to the next appropriate evening.
Scheduled FoggingFogging is scheduled for:
Friday, July 31 approximately 9:30 pm start throughout the night
Monday, August 3 approximately 9:30 pm start throughout the night
About the Fogging ProgramFogging will be conducted using DeltaGard® 20EW (deltamethrin), a reduced-risk pesticide approved by Health Canada for ultra-low-volume mosquito control. When applied according to label directions, DeltaGard® 20EW does not present an unacceptable risk to human health or the environment.

Recommended Precautions for ResidentsWhile the risk is low, residents are encouraged to take the following simple precautions during fogging operations:
Stay indoors during and immediately after spraying whenever possible.
Close windows and doors.
Turn off air exchangers or air conditioners that draw in outside air before spraying begins.
Bring pets indoors.
Bring children's toys and laundry indoors.
Wash homegrown fruits and vegetables before eating.
Rinse outdoor play equipment with water after spraying has been completed.
Help Reduce Mosquito PopulationsAs a reminder, anyone can help reduce mosquito breeding by eliminating standing water around their property, including:
Bird baths, buckets, eavestroughs, old tires, planters, and other containers that collect water.
