Rockwood Rail Trail
The Rockwood Rail Trail is a scenic, multi-use pathway built along a former railway line, offering a smooth, gently graded route ideal for walking, cycling, jogging, and year-round recreation. The trail connects communities from the southern to the northern portions of the RM of Rockwood while showcasing the beauty of Manitoba’s prairie landscape. Designed with accessibility in mind, it features a paved surface for approximately 5 miles southeast of Summit road, suitable for all ages and abilities, along with benches, rest areas, and convenient access points. In warmer months, visitors can enjoy peaceful rides or strolls through open countryside, while in winter the trail accommodates activities like cross-country skiing. As an evolving community space, ongoing enhancements such as tree planting continue to improve both comfort and natural beauty, making the Rockwood Rail Trail a welcoming destination for recreation and active transportation alike.

Interlake Pioneer Trail
Beginning in Grosse Isle- 30 KM trail mixed use of non-motorized and motorized.

This trail is great for birding, cross-country skiing, and hiking, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.
Oak Hammock Trails
Experience this 3.2-km loop trail in the RM of Rockwood. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 46 min to complete. This is a popular trail for birding, hiking, and walking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The best times to visit this trail are April through May.
