The Oak Hammock Marsh and Interpretive Center is located 20 minutes north of Winnipeg on PTH No. 67, just east of PTH No. 7.
Oak Hammock Marsh Wildlife Management Area is 36 square kilometers of tall prairie grass, meadow and marsh. In this area one can fine more than 280 species of birds and hundreds of insects, amphibians, mammals and reptiles. In the Interpretive Center there is an observation deck, guided programs, exhibits, theatre and interactive exhibits.
The marsh is a popular place for school children's field trips as well as anybody, young and old who want to learn about conserving the wetland ecosystems.
